The Venice Middle Young Marines is a youth education and service program for boys and girls, grades 6 and 7, and will include grade 8 in the 2012-13 school year. The Young Marines promotes the mental, moral, and physical development of its members. The program focuses on character building, leadership, and promotes a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. The Young Marines is the focal point for the U.S. Marine Corps’ youth Drug Demand Reduction efforts.
Our Young Marines program at Venice Middle School is the first of its kind in the nation, with 5 adult staff members and 70 students.
